CURRENT HIGHLIGHTS & RESEARCH
Jone Jankoski's competition entry “ADRIATIC“ for the Bentley and Dezeen "Create Something Powerful” Competition was chosen for exhibition at the 22nd Biennial of Macedonian Contemporary Architecture (BIMAS).
The exhibition will take place from October 6 to 21 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje.
Early Academic Career &
Architectural Studies
Born in Struga, North Macedonia, on September 18, 1981, he began his architectural studies at the Faculty of Architecture, University "Ss. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje, after graduating from USO "Niko Nestor" High School of Architecture. During his studies, he collaborated with prominent professors and architects, and in 2011, he earned his professional degree in architecture (Dipl.-Ing. Arch.) with a special mention, under the mentorship of Prof. PhD Mitko Hadzi Pulja.

From 2008 to 2013, encompassing his architectural studies and post-graduation period, he was a part of the pedagogical teaching team at the Faculty of Architecture in Skopje. In this role, he contributed to the conceptualization and operation of serial methodical units within the "Learning Architecture" project for first-year students, led by Professors PhD Minas Bakalchev and PhD Mitko Hadzi-Pulja.
Exhibitions,
Collaborations, and Licensure
He participated in significant international architectural events, representing Macedonia on multiple occasions.
In 2010, he was part of the national team at the Venice Biennale of Architecture with the theme “Learning Architecture.” In 2012, as a member of the Architecture Faculty pedagogical teaching team, he represented the Republic of Macedonia at the First Biennale of Architecture in Thessaloniki with the project “Б2 City”.
In the same year, he participated for a second time at the Venice Biennale of Architecture with the group “METAMAK Collective,” presenting the theme “Architecture in the mirror: Sublime and Everyday”.

On July 26, 2013, Jone Jankoski received authorization for architectural design from the Chamber of Authorized Architects and Engineers of the Republic of North Macedonia (KOAI), becoming a licensed architect and engineer in North Macedonia (License No. 1.1848).

Apprenticeship with Professor Boris Chipan
From 2008 to 2012, during his academic studies, he began his professional architectural career as an apprentice to the distinguished Architect and Professor Boris Chipan. This apprenticeship continued until Professor Chipan died in 2012 at the age of 94.
Together, they developed a series of studies and projects for the city of Ohrid, including a tower bell for the Orthodox Cathedral Church St. Sophia of the Ohrid Archbishopric, and an Archaeological and Research Center with a Museum and outdoor theater in Samuel’s Fortress, which were presented and exhibited in the opening event of Ohrid Summer Festival 2009.

Post-Graduation & International Experience
In the spring of 2013, Jone briefly joined Professor Josep Lluis Mateo in Barcelona, where he was a key contributor to several international projects and competitions, including housing developments in Marseille, Montpellier, and Beirut.
